Students in Schools
There are 8 modules and potentially 24 lessons designed to support students without judgement or being critical. They aim to give students the tools, techniques and tips early on in life to deal with daily stresses and challenges, getting them practising these techniques as they move into adolescence allowing them to cope better with the unique experiences they face during this phase of life.
The lessons are designed to help students identify, talk about and reflect on their feelings and thoughts, whilst creating a deeper sense of calm, self-acceptance and confidence, all in a fun and relaxed environment. It is important to create this space for children to express themselves, honestly and kindly in a safe environment.
Sadly cases of self-harming, bullying and other mental health issues are increasing and young people need some extra help dealing with these pressures. Students’ resilience and wellbeing will be enhanced using explanation of how the brain works, mind-body connection, the happiness effect, relaxation, mindfulness, breathing, creative visualisation, movement, mindful eating, gratitude and wellbeing to help them refocus their thinking to support a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment, exactly as it is. It can help improve concentration and focus; creativity and inspiration; calm and peacefulness.
Mindfulness workshop for Teachers – Consult, Devise, Deliver!
This will help teachers understand mindfulness and meditation both personally and professionally and will give an insight into what I teach the children, allowing them to reinforce this learning in the classroom.
This can be tailored to the need of individual schools.
